On July 14\, 2015\, Ne w Horizons\, an interplanetary space probe\, flew by Pluto\, capturing the first high resolution photographs of Pluto&rsquo\;s surface and atmospher e. New Horizons data has revealed stunning geology including ice volcanoes \, Nitrogen ice glaciers\, mysterious internal heating\, and the &ldquo\;s nakeskin&rdquo\; patterns among 50 other discoveries. UVA&rsquo\;s planetary astronomer\, Anne Ve rbiscer\, will describe Pluto&rsquo\;s amazing science phenomena\, and Ali ce Bowman will explain the missions and engineering side of New Horizons s haring her experience as New Horizons&rsquo\; MOM. This event is meant for the general public\, and everyone is invited. A reception will follow the talk.
