"Atomic Coherence in Multi-Level Atomic Systems and Its Applications"Min Xiao , Univ. of Arkansas [Host: Olivier Pfister]
ABSTRACT:
Atomic coherence effects in multi-level atomic systems, such as
electromagnetically induced transparency and enhanced dispersion with
reduced absorption, will be presented. I will discuss some interesting
applications of such atomic coherence effects in nonlinear optical processes
and group velocity reduction in such media.
